Edward “Eddie” Kirby

Edward Kirby1

Eddie passed away at his home in Zanesville, Ohio on July 15, 2024. He was 62 years old. Eddie leaves behind his loving partner of more than 22 years, Cindy Lyons and his beloved dogs. Eddie is also survived by his mother, Marilyn Kirby of Las Cruces NM; his two sisters: Linda Kirby-Grose (Ron) of Las Cruces NM and Terri Kirby (Dave Fruth) of Fostoria OH; and his brother James Kirby Jr. of Las Cruces NM. In addition, other survivors include many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and many caring friends. Eddie was preceded in death by his sister Joyce Kirby Bica, his father James Kirby and his maternal and paternal grandparents. Eddie lived with one main regret for the benefit of another, whom he loved ( ♥N).

Eddie will be remembered for his love and zest for life. He had a special laugh, and many called him a very caring man that marched to a different drummer. Eddie had such a talent for building and fixing anything. No job was too big. He was a master painter who prided himself on keeping his work area clean and organized. He also had an amazing green thumb and would often compare notes with his sisters on their gardens. His mother says he was always full of surprises no matter what age. Eddie had a great work ethic and was always ready to help anyone who needed a hand. Florida was Eddie’s home for several years when he was younger, and he enjoyed living life on and near the beach. Eddie always hoped to go back sometime; his loved ones will fulfill that for him now. He loved music and took his radio everywhere, mostly listening to that “Old Time Rock & Roll”. Rest in Peace Eddie Spaghetti. We love you. Okie Dokie!!

The family would like to thank the Snouffer Funeral Home for their long-distance assistance. Also, a special thank you to Father Young from St. Thomas Aquinas Church.
