ZANESVILLE, OH – A local assisted living facility celebrated their recent remodel with a grand reopening.

Sterling Suites Senior Living hosted an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony to go along with the reopening.

Dylan Still-Pepper, the Executive Director, says they’ve been hard at work for the past 6 months working on renovating about 80% of the building.

Still-Pepper says the goal of the renovations was to bring something new and different from traditional assisted living facilities here to Zanesville.

“We are going to be reopening it as a medicaid waiver, approved assisted living facility. So we will be able to take both private pay and those that are going to be approved for the waiver program through medicaid.” Still-Pepper said. “It’s going to be the only one in Muskingum County and especially the only one here in Zanesville, so it’s very exciting.”

The facility has 41 rooms available, all ranging in sizes from a studio to a 2 bedroom living space.

The facility will also feature a bistro for residents to grab a quick snack, recreational rooms, a beauty salon and barbershop, as well as a spa.

Beth Septer, the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, says they want to be able to bring social experiences to people who have been struggling while living on their own.

“The Sterling Suites location has been a staple here for many many years and it’s evolved.” Septer said. “It’s taken on many personalities and for us, today, to be able to offer this home like environment for those that are so much in need in the immediate community, is really going to add this vivacious lifestyle that the community is tremendously in need of.”
