She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on April 9, 1955, and was a member of the Saint Clairsville Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Her love for Jehovah God and her Bible-based faith was a cornerstone of her life, marked by her service as a regular pioneer that began in 1957. Throughout the years, she was able to attend the Pioneer Service School five times. Phyllis loved participating in spiritual activities with her fellow believers and attending meetings at the Kingdom Hall, Assembly Hall, and Regional Conventions.
Phyllis enjoyed wallpapering, which she did professionally in the 1970s. Her love of cooking, baking, and showing hospitality was evident throughout her life. She embraced technology later in life, becoming adept at using her iPad, and loved taking photos, observing the clouds, and making cards to send her friends and relatives.
Phyllis’ family and friends will remember her for her loving nature and her commitment to her faith and family. According to her wishes, there will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to donate.jw.org.
