Jan Thompson

Jan Tanner Thompson, 92 of Zanesville went to be with her Lord at 1:25 AM Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at the Genesis Hospice.
She was born May 12, 1932 in Zanesville, Ohio the daughter of Michael R. Tanner and Amelia A. Monsour Tanner.
Jan was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and she worked for her father, Attorney Michael R. Tanner as a paralegal for many years before she established her own real estate business as broker/owner of Century 21 Jan Tanner Thompson and Associates. She acted in the local Community Theater for many years.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ron Thompson; a daughter, Kathy (Danny) Warne and a son, Michael (Patricia) Thompson; a sister, Sharon L. Tanner; grandchildren, Sharon (Roger) Huff, Daniel (Jodi) Warne, Shannon Adams, Lisa Campbell, Diana Alexander, Christopher Thompson, Amanda Thompson, Samantha Thompson, Danielle Nicole Thompson and Tiara Singleton and several great grandchildren & great great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. Jan was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Mark S. Thompson; 3 brothers, Richard “Dick” M. Tanner, Robert M. Tanner & Patrick S. Tanner; and a nephew, Deputy Robert M. Tanner Jr.
No public visitation to be observed and a funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Friday, August 23, 2024 at the St. Nicholas Catholic Church. Burial will conclude at the Mt. Olive Cemetery.
