Keeping Animals Cool at the Noble County Fair
CALDWELL, OH – The Noble County Fair is officially in full swing and fairgoers and participants alike are preparing for a hot week ahead.
4-H member, Sophia Marshall, is ready to keep her animals cool and comfortable during the fair. With 10 years of 4-H experience under her belt, Sophia has become an expert in caring for her horses, cattle, sheep and goats during the summer heat.
“It’s going to be a really hot week. I plan to rinse my animals twice a day and then keep them under the fan the rest of the time,” Marshall said.
Sophia’s decade-long dedication to 4-H shines through in her care for her animals, and her favorite part of the fair is seeing all her hard work pay off. She also shared some advice for those just starting their 4-H journeys.
“My favorite part is just all of the hard work and dedication that goes in throughout the summer. It pays off once you get here at the fair.” You’re going to think that it’s hard for the first couple years, but it gets easier the more you go and keep doing it. Just stay with 4-H because it gives you a lot of life lessons that you need,” Marshall said.
The Noble County Fair will run through Saturday. For animal show times and more information, be sure to check the fair’s website.
