George “Frank” Reedy
George “Frank” Reedy, 89 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on August 31, 2024, at Genesis Morrison House in Zanesville.
He was born on August 18, 1935, in Lakemore, Ohio, son of the late Floyd Reedy and Mildred (Blackwood) Reedy. Frank was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked in the printing business and later for Superior Dairy as a Salesman. He loved being on the water, involved in many Water-Skiing Tournaments with his family over the years. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing with his wife, Selene, listening to his jazz music, and storytelling. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and loved ones.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Selene (Kirchmer) Reedy; daughters, Bambi (Ed) Zinkon, Jodi (Paul) Edwards, Shari Brumbelow; 8 grandchildren: Kelby, Adam, Sydney, Zachary, Jonah, Jacob, Hanna, Mac; 4 great-grandchildren: Porter, Pratt, Lilly, Isaac; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife of 49 years, Barbara Reedy; brother, Jack Altman; sisters, Barbara Foster, Florene Limburgh; special friends, Bill, Bob, Ray; and special dogs, Maddy and Baxter.
Graveside services will be held on Friday September 6, 2024, at 9:45 AM at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio (10175 Rawiga Rd. Seville, Ohio 44273) with Paul Edwards officiating. Full military honors will be presented by the United States Army.
