Danney Paynter

Paynter 2

Danney Lynn Paynter, 75, of Trinway, Ohio, on September 3, 2024, left this world peacefully with his devoted wife of 57 years, Linda Aitken Paynter, by his side, along with his two beloved children, Tony (Jamie) Paynter of Trinway and Amy (Dan) Smith of McConnelsville.

Danney is now reunited with his parents, James Carl Paynter & Verne (Neville) Paynter Untied and brothers, and for those who knew him, it’s comforting to imagine him racing on the best dirt track in heaven, doing what he loved most. Racing wasn’t just a hobby: it was his lifelong passion that brought him joy until the end.

Summers were spent pursuing his love of treasure hunting at local garage sales or thrift shops, always accompanied by Linda and his trusty sidekick, Rocket, his loyal dog. These simple pleasures brought him happiness, along with the love and laughter of his cherished grandchildren: Nathan R. Paynter, Jessica L. Paynter, Zackary Dearinger, and Dakota Dearinger. He also leaves behind seven great- grandchildren, a legacy of love and memories that will carry on in their hearts; and two twin siblings, Jack Paynter and Jacqueline Garner.

Danney’s extended family, friends of many years, and those whose lives he touched are left with fond memories of a man who lived life fully, embraced his passions, and loved deeply. His smile, kindness, and zest for life will be remembered by all who had the good fortune to know him.

All are invited to call upon the family, Tuesday, September 10, 2024, from 4:00pm till 7:00pm at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.

The family will be holding a Celebration of Life Service, Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Paynter’s Garage, to celebrate Danney and his favorite holiday, Halloween. Services will kick off at 5:00pm with Pastor Ed Rexroad.

Rest easy, Danney Paynter until we meet again, under the lights of a heavenly racetrack.
