Snow Day equals sled day
The snow started late Sunday night and continued into the mid-morning here in Zanesville.
It even canceled schools across the area Monday. It led to a massive clean-up with people needing to be out shoveling and state and local crews out plowing. It even caused some difficulties for our Sunrise crew Monday morning.
“It looks like we’re in for a snowy morning today. There was already another layer on my car after I got here,” Stephanie Hube said, turning to Phil at the anchor desk.
“Yeah, and you have only been here for a couple of hours too, so it’s coming down in buckets again this morning,” Phil Sakal said.
Even those buckets of snow couldn’t keep kids away from Dillon State Park to get some sledding in Monday. One group had been on the hill for nearly two and a half hours before leaving. But even hours of riding down and walking up the hill couldn’t damper the spirits, as they all wanted to stay out in the snow even longer. One youngster explained to us that he was going to go back outside after playing a little Xbox 360.
“I bet [our parents] won’t let us but might just go outside at our house and go down those hills.”
The entire group loved the snow, hoping for even another snow day so they could get out to the hill once again.
