Melvin Millfelt

Melvin W. Millfelt, 80 of Grove City, passed away on September 15, 2024, at his residence.
He was born on July 14, 1944, in Zanesville, Ohio, son of the late Harold Millfelt and Vera Melvin. Mel was a graduate of Rosecrans High School in 1962 and a member of the St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Zanesville for many years. He worked at McGraw Edison for over 25 years and later worked at Longaberger Basket Co. for 15 years, where he retired. He was an avid coin collector and loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting events in his free time.
Mel is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Cheryl (Hickman) Millfelt; 2 children: Traci (Ryan) Thomas and Todd (Yvonne) Millfelt; 5 grandchildren: Chaz (Devon) Millfelt, Breanne (Tyler) Charles, Britney (Corey) Cody, Brady (Alysia) Thomas, Ian (Meghan) Millfelt; 2 great grandchildren: Remi and Oliver; 2 great grandchildren on the way, Elsie and Ellie.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold Millfelt and Vera (Melvin) Millfelt.
Private services will be held at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. Mel will be laid to rest at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Zanesville, Ohio.
