ZANESVILLE, OH – A local restaurant here in Zanesville celebrated their grand re-opening.

Russo’s Kitchen & Bar celebrated their recent remodel with a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce.

Vincent Russo, the President of Russo’s, says with this remodel; they have expanded their menu and added a new bar area for customers to enjoy.

He says this has also changed up the way staff serve and interact with patrons.

“The style of service that we initially had, which was something we really loved, it was a fast, casual service style where we would serve the customers by taking their order and making their food in a line, like a Chipotle ordering style.” Russo said. “Which is very cool, and customers liked it and we loved it as well that’s why we opened it that way, […] that limited us in a lot of way though, we wanted to add more menu items but we didn’t have much flexibility with that old style.”

Russo says they have already received some positive feedback on the new changes to their restaurant.

He says he was a bit nervous to make a big change like this but is excited to see what the future holds.

“It’s very nerve wracking when you have a business that’s been operable for over 7 years, to make such a significant change.” Russo said. “You know, you worry like, should we even be doing this? People did like the way it was before and so when we get the positive feedback that we get, it does make it worthwhile.”

Russo’s Kitchen & Bar is located at 2526 Maple Ave. and is open Tuesday through Thursday from 11AM to 9PM, Friday and Saturday from 11AM to 10PM, and Sundays from 11 to 9.
