Howard Gibson

Howard W. Gibson, 88, of Columbus, Ohio (formerly of Malta and Zanesville, Ohio), passed peacefully on October 9, 2024, at Taylor Springs Health Campus.

He is survived by children, Kimberlee Montgomery (David), Marcia Brooks, Terry Gibson (Nicole); grandchildren, Ashlee Young (Paul), Shannon Braxton (Kris), Blake Montgomery (Janelle), Taylor Gibson, Sydney Gibson, Malia Brooks, Giana Brooks; great grandchildren, Rylee Young, Carson Young, Weston Montgomery, Julianna Montgomery; lifelong friend, Leroy Norris.

Howard was preceded in passing by his wife, Jean Norman Gibson; parents, William O. Gibson and Arlie Mae Goins Gibson; siblings, Thelma Johnson, Nancy Fowler, Winifred (Peggy) Stewart, Dayle Gibson, Ruth Grilley, Gretta Viney, Charles Eugene Gibson, Loretta Powelson.

The viewing will be Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 10AM, at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Ave., Zanesville, Ohio, followed by a brief celebration of life tribute at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, American Lung Association or American Heart Association.
