Rep. Holmes Recognized by NFIB

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Ohio 97th District Representative and Frueh Enterprises CEO Adam Holmes was presented with the Guardian of Small Business Award by the National Federation of Independent Business.
The NFIB is a small business advocacy group that represents 21,000 Ohio member businesses and more than 300,000 members nationally, in state and federal legislatures. NFIB Ohio Director Chris Ferruso explained why Holmes was chosen for the award.
“He’s been a long time member of our organization but more than that, he’s been an advocate for small businesses in the statehouse. He’s accumulated over his tenure a 95 percent lifetime voting record. So he doesn’t just talk the talk, he walks the walk. He’s been great on issues like taxes, healthcare transparency, and regulatory reform,” Ferruso said.
Frueh Enterprises is a mechanical industrial contracting company that has been a part of the Zanesville community since 1923 and a member of the NFIB for 45 years. CEO Holmes represents the 3rd generation of the business and shares what the award means to him.
“Being a champion of small business and being recognized for that is really, really an honor in both roles as a state representative and as a leader in a small business. And bringing those together, I think, really represents what’s best about the United States. It’s to champion business and free market enterprise. It’s very American and we always need to have that as a prime mover in our communities,” Holmes said.
Holmes is running for State Representative of the 97th District in the November election as a Republican, against Independent Scott Wilson.
