Joseph Bayura

Joseph M. Bayura Sr. age 85, of Beverly, OH, formerly of Cleveland, OH passed away Friday, October 11, 2024 at his home. He was born September 17, 1939 in Hempfield, PA son of the late Thomas and Helen “Mary” Gornick Bayura.
He owned and operated Bayura Auto Sales and J & J Auto Body in Cleveland from 1958 until his retirement in 2012. Joe loved riding motorcycles with his sons. He was well-known as a mechanic and body man. Joe will be remembered for his love for animals and could often be seen relaxing in his hammock with a wild deer just resting on the ground beside him.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Thomas, Paul and James; sisters Helen, Frances, Jean, and Mary.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons Joseph M. Bayura Jr. and Jeffrey M. (Sarah) Bayura Sr. all of Brooklyn, OH; grandchildren Jeffrey M. (Marisa) Bayura Jr., Andrew J. Bayura, Ava M. Bayura, Joseph M. Bayura III, and Anthony M. Bayura; sister Kathleen Queen of Bullhead City, AZ. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 2 to 4 and 5 to 7 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. Cremation will be observed following visitation. Memorial contributions may be directed in Joe’s honor to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
