Anna Highfield Wood

Anna Harman Highfield Wood passed away October 13, 2024 at Helen Purcell Home, Zanesville.
She was born June 11,1926 in Weirton, West Virginia to Albert and Myrtle (Whited) Harman. She
attended Meigs High School and graduated from Meridith Business College in Zanesville, Oh. She was
retired from General Electric in New Concord, OH.
Anna spent many winters in Vero Beach, FL. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and playing bridge. She
also participated in church choirs and was a member of Beta Sigma Sorority Delta Chi Exemplar chapter.
She is survived by three stepchildren, David (Milly) Wood of Newark, OH, Gary (Jane) Wood of St.
Louisville, OH and Diana (Richard) Kidd of Martinsburg, OH; numerous grandchildren and great
grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Fredrick Highfield and Ralph Wood, three sisters and one brother.
Viewing will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM with funeral service to immediately follow at 2:00 PM on Wednesday October 16, 20224 at Bryan Hardwick Funeral Home. Interment will follow in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Zanesville.
