Zanesville Museum of Art Opening Peanuts Inspired Art Exhibit

ZANESVILLE, OH – The Zanesville Museum of Art is inviting you to celebrate some comic strip classics.

The ZMA will be hosting an exhibition opening of “From Comic Strip to Canvas: The Art of Tom Everhart” on Thursday, October 24th, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. This new exhibit will feature iconic Peanuts characters, with Snoopy taking the spotlight, as they leap from comic strips to vibrant canvases.

“What makes it unique is you get to see the difference between the prints of work and original works. There’s a lot of variation as far as texture and the way the artist applied the paint,” Exhibition Coordinator Aaron Thompson said.

The event is free and open to all, with snacks and refreshments provided. It’s the perfect evening for art lovers, families and Snoopy fans.

“As far as activities go, there will be some activities for the adults and kids. There’s some interesting interactive elements that we’re going to have,” Thompson said.

The 25 incredible works will be on display through January 4th, 2025. The Zanesville Museum of Art is located at 620 Military Road, you can find more information on their website.
