Coburn UMC to Host Annual Trunk-or-Treat
ZANESVILLE, OH – A local church is gearing up for an afternoon of Halloween fun.
Coburn United Methodist Church will be hosting their annual Trunk-or-Treat Party on Saturday from 2 to 4PM.
Sarah Dosch, the Family Ministry Director, said there will also be crafts, games, snacks, and vendors available in their gym for the community to enjoy.
She said they’ve done this event for the past 6 years and have always had a great turn out.
“We usually have between 300 and 500 kids come out for this,” Dosch said. “It’s a great time for families to come out and have some safe alternative to trick-or-treat, where you’re not out at night, it’s in the afternoon and it’s just a great time for everybody to get together.”
Dosch also says there will be a prize awarded to the fan favorite trunk.
She says they like hosting events like these to give families something fun to look forward to.
“As a Church, are here to serve the community and so we like to offer things for families to do together,” Dosch said. “Things like the Trunk-or-Treat, we offer an Easter Egg Hunt, and we do other things throughout the year.”
If you are interested in attending Coburn’s Trunk-or-Treat Party, they are located at 3618 Maple Ave. in Zanesville.
