David “Dave” Patrick Neff, 86 of Zanesville died at 8:15 A.M. Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at his residence.
He was born October 23, 1937 in Norwood Ohio the son of Warren Bell Neff and Elizabeth “Betty” Catherine Ziemba.
Dave was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church and a Navy Veteran, having enlisted in June of 1955 as active service for 3 years on the USS Cabildo. He received two good conduct medals and remained in the reserves until June of 1963.He graduated Suma Cum Laude from Ohio University with a degree in Managerial Finance. He was employed at RCA on the Atlas Missile and then worked at Newark Airforce Station on the Minuteman Missile. He also worked as a design engineer at United Technologies retiring in 1994.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Champagne Neff whom he married, July 3rd, 1965; his sons, John Augustin “Augie” (Sally) Neff, James Ambrose “Bubba” Neff, Jerome Christian “Chris” (Tara) Neff; Grandchildren, David, Tori, Wesley, Vinny, Luke, Carlie, Jake; Great Grandchildren, Liam & Kora; and a special pet dog “Annie”. Dave was preceded in death by Parents, a grand daughter, Angelica; his siblings, Warren Neff, James Neff, Frances Fox, Jean Donley, Leonard Neff, Thadius Neff & Tom Neff.
Private graveside service with Military honors will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Fr. Dave Young officiating.
