Wayne Stotts

Wayne Elsworth Stotts, 87, of Zanesville went Home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 18, 2024, at Genesis Hospice Morrison House surrounded by his family.
Wayne was born in Zanesville on November 24, 1936, to the late Harmon and Zelma Longshore Stotts. He retired from Rockwell after many years of dedicated service. As a faithful and devoted Christian, he was a long-time member of Zanesville First Church of the Nazarene. Wayne enjoyed spending time at Church functions and being with his family.
He was a bus driver for West Muskingum School District. He was very involved with the Church of the Nazarene Work and Witness, where he travelled around the country and the world. He was also a member of the Good Sam Camping Club.
He is survived by five children: Crystal Stotts, Rita (Steve) Stanbery, Karen (Troy) Patterson, Richard (Sandy Myers) Stotts and Virginia (Robert) Browning; a brother Daniel Stotts; one sister: Nora Davis; grandchildren: Patrick (Lindsay) Stanbery, Jenna (Adam) Gahm, Colin (Katelyn Dennison) Patterson, Kendra Church, Sarah Crawford, Morgan (Tim) Caton, Alex (Jessica) Stotts; great-grandchildren: Regan, Ellison, Liam, Zaler, Bailey, Skyler, Gage, Amiya, Audria, Aislynn, Alyna, Evan, Gage, Theo and Esther.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Nancy Crumbraker Stotts; five sisters: Essie Davis, Elaine Peterson, Josephine Barner, Corrina Holman and Joy Gortner; and two brothers: Dale Stotts and Johnny Stotts.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene, Work and Witness/Missions Fund, 5700 Martin Lane, Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8PM, Thursday, November 21, 2024, at THE ZANESVILLE FIRST CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE, 5700 MARTIN LANE, ZANESVILLE. Funeral service will be at 11AM Friday, November 22, 2024, at the church with Rev. Dr. Steve Dupler and Rev. Dr. Jim Miller officiating.
