Marjorie Snyder

Marjorie Mylee Henning Snyder of Zanesville, died at 12:45 am, Monday, December 2, 2024, at Clay Gardens Retirement Community in Zanesville. Marge was born August 22, 1928, in Roseville, the daughter of the late John M. and Mildred H. Henning. She was married on September 3, 1949, to Robert J. Snyder who proceeded her in death on July 23, 2011.
Marge was a graduate of Roseville High School and was the valedictorian of the Class of 1946. She was a long-time parishioner of St. Nicholas Catholic Church. She taught school for two years in Roseville before beginning her role of fulltime homemaker. Her proudest accomplishment was in raising five boys; known as #1-#5. She was an avid reader and enjoyed a good novel—not too sexually detailed or graphically violent in nature. She and her husband were square dancers who were in the Zane’s and Jane’s Square Dance Club. They also enjoyed camping at various state parks and friends’ properties. Marge’s longevity is partly credited to her regular walks at the Zanesville Mall and the Bethesda trail.
Marge is survived by her sons: James (Dianne) of Athens, AL; Patrick (Melinda) of Zanesville; Robin (Magda) of Overland Park, KS; Charles (Trisha) of Travelers Rest, SC; and Paul (Julie) of Westerville; twelve grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
