It is with great sadness that the family of Trevor Bash announce his unexpected passing on November 10, 2024 at OSU Hospital in Columbus Ohio. Trevor will be sadly missed, and fondly remembered by so many people that were fortunate to have been a part of his life. Trevor was born on May 9, 1989 and was a lifelong resident of Zanesville Ohio. Trevor always had a love for education and learning, and most recently was very active in a Statewide initiative as a member of APSI’s Advocacy Ambassadors. His active involvement with this group helped develop APSI’s Quality of Life initiative. Trevor assisted in creating a best approach plan of a good life for over 3000 individuals across the state that APSI serves. Trevor coined the phrase “navigate to advocate” during this process, and his input was valued by professionals, peers and other APSI clients. Trevor’s impact will be a positive reminder for all of those he worked with, and for, that speaking up and advocating for yourself and others, will make real and positive changes in the lives of many. Trevor had a very special team of professionals and caregivers that assisted him with daily tasks and living, and these individuals include his Board of DD SSA Korrie Gibbs, Shirella Walls, Faith Skinner, Anthony Baughman, Jamie Sanders and Jesse Skinner. Our family is very grateful for the love and support that they provided to Trevor on a daily basis, and for making him a part of their own families. Trevor loved each and every one of them. Trevor was preceded in death by his loving parents James Theodore Bash Jr and Madonna Bash, sister Keeli Renee Bash, and his adoring grandparents, James Theodore Bash Sr and June Bash, Robert and Janice Gore, and Harry Jones and Martha and Junior Nutt. Trevor is survived by his two sisters Amy (Rodney) Martin of Walhonding and Sheri Bash of Canton, nieces and nephews Tod (Teri) Martin, Megan (Kevin) Kuhlman, Kaitlyn (Tyler) Lawrence, Hayden Martin, Benjamin Martin, Theodore James Bash, Oliver Porter Bash, Eleanor Rose Bash, and a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. A Celebration of Life will be held in Trevor’s honor on Saturday December 14, 2024 from 1:00pm- 4:00pm at ViaQuest Day Programs, located at 2340 Adamsville Road, Zanesville OH 43701. If you would like to make a contribution in Trevor’s memory, please consider a donation to APSI Ohio at apsiohio.org or mail a check to APSI Ohio, 4110 North High Street Columbus, OH 43214.
