Lt. Gov. of Ohio Speaks on Leadership in the Community
The Lieutenant Governor of Ohio made her way to Zanesville tonight to discuss leadership in the community.
A dinner was held at the Prophets Park to welcome Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor to Zanesville. Taylor discussed the work that she and Gov. Kasich have done over the last 5 years by cutting taxes that helped hundreds of Ohioans get back to work in the private sector.
"So right now in the presidential election, of course, we just came through Nevada last evening. The governor right now will be focused on the next up-coming primary states in the south and of course the mid-west states," said Taylor. "From my perspective, I was on the ground in New Hampshire knocking on doors talking to voters. They are very excited about the leadership that Gov. Kacich brings, his experience both in Congress, and what’s happened here in Ohio. It really is at this point getting that message out to voters across the state and across the United States."
Taylor also said she supports Gov. Kasich’s decision to sign the bill that is intended to divert funds away from planned parenthood.
"Gov. Kasich and I are pro-life. I think that is probably not a surprise for most, and unfortunately, Planned Parenthood continues to perform abortions and has lacked credibility, and we don’t believe that they should be supported using public funds for an organization that still provides abortions," said Taylor.
Gov. Kasich is focusing on the next up-coming primary states and will be in Ohio March 15th when Buckeye State voters head to the polls.
