13th Annual Spring Fever Home Gardening Symposium was a Success
One of the nice things about the 13th Annual Spring Fever Home Gardening Symposium is that you can learn to turn your trash into treasures.
At least that’s what Jason Reeves the speakers from the Garden Show said. Reeves talked about ways you can recycle and refurbish unused items from your home and use them as art in your garden.
"One examples that I am going to talk about today is building a wall out of wine bottles. I’m not a drinker but, I have a lot of friends that are. We’re using these bottles so I am going to show how to build a wall in your garden out of wine bottles and how to re-purpose those. Also, bicycles and various items that are going to be thrown away as garden art," said Reeves.
Reeves said building a wall out of wine bottles isn’t difficult the most important part is choosing what colors best suit your garden.
"The bottle I am going to show today actually you drill a hole using a glass bit so it’s actually strung up on a structure," said Reeves. "Wine bottles are really strong and it’s a plethora of them and they work great in the garden. Mixing the colors with blues, clears and green really adds a lot of elements. You may go out and choose your wine according to what color of bottle it’s in not necessarily for the taste, that’s kind of fun."
