Carolyn Lee Awalt

ZANESVILLE Carolyn Lee Awalt 86 of Zanesville passed away on Thursday December 8, 2016 in Columbus, Ohio.

She was born in Lancaster on May 30, 1930 to the late William Ray and Bernadine G. Oatney Yates. She was an assembler for United Technologies. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, American Legion, Life Member of VFW, and attended Mattingly Settlement Catholic Church.

She is survived by three children; Stephen (Deborah) Awalt , Cheryl Ann (Ron) Fulkerson, and Karen Sue (Shawn) Speer of Zanesville, a sister Rose Ann Carver of Springfield, seven grandchildren: Michael (Louanna) Awalt, Stephanie (Joey) Cowgill, Stacey (Ryan Bauserman) Awalt, Amanda (Shane Mauer) Montgomery, Dustin (Stephanie) Montgomery, Brent (Kathy) Fulkerson, and Erin (Andy) Barbolla. Twelve great grandchildren: Shelby Awalt, Ian Awalt, Tyler Cowgill, Brandon Cowgill, Emma Larson, Ava Larson, Charlie Montgomery, Judah Montgomery, Madison Fulkerson, Sara Fulkerson, Phillip Barbola and Elizabeth Barbola.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Frederick Awalt who died July 25, 2010,

Calling hours will be Wednesday December 14 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 on Thursday at Mattingly Settlement Catholic Church with Father Don Franks as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
