Schubach Big Band is Returning to Zane’s Landing Park
ZANESVILLE, OH – A summer tradition is making its return to Zane’s Landing Park this weekend, and it’s sure to hit all the right notes.
The Schubach Big Band is tuning up for their annual concert, set for this Sunday, August 3rd, at 7 PM. The band will take the stage for an evening full of tunes and timeless big band favorites.
“There will be quite a variety of music. We have five different singers. We play everything from classics to the big band swing era to pop hits. Alot of them are arrangements that I have done. Writing music is what I love to do. I take other people’s tunes and put my twist on them. We try to do some original things too. My original song this year is called Way Up. We’re also hearing an original song by Steve Spires called 16 Miles from Our Hometown,” Band Leader and Composer David Schubach said.
The concert is completely free and open to the public, thanks to the generous support from the J.W. & M.H. Charitable Foundation. Whether you’re a longtime fan or hearing the band for the first time, everyone is welcome.
“These musicians are all professional musicians from around our region. It’s a thrill to me to hear my music brought to life by them. I can’t say enough wonderful things about these guys and gals who perform with me,” Schubach said.
If rain happens to roll in, the performance will be moved inside to the Central Presbyterian Church, located at 40 North 6th Street in Zanesville.
