Lachmere Fire Works brings glassblowing and blacksmithing to Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE, Ohio – The 55th Annual Salt Fork Arts and Crafts Festival is taking place this weekend with some unique artistry on display.

Glassblower Tina Haldiman and blacksmith Cassidy Anderson are the owners of Larchmere Fire Works. This is their second year at the festival offering their artwork for sale but also tickets to classes so you can create your own.

“So last year we had another event on the Saturday when we were contacted by Salt Fork. So, we were only able to do Sunday last year. They enjoyed us so much and had such great feedback that they immediately signed us on for two days this year,” Haldiman said. “And, hopefully next year we’ll get the three days to really get everybody in. I know a lot of people today were disappointed that there weren’t enough tickets for everybody. But, we’ll hopefully, definitely be back next year,”

The Cleveland based duo travel around the state of Ohio and neighboring states to share the work they love doing with others hoping to motivate the next generation.

“We love sparking that interest in the future generation and yeah you never know who the next artist is going to be or even working with their hands in any way. This might not be their medium but they might be like ‘oh hey I’m a painter,’ or there’s so many things out here so why not bring another facet to that,” Anderson said.

The Salt Fork Arts and Crafts Festival enters its final day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow and is free to the public in Cambridge City Park. You can visit Larchmere Fire Work’s website to learn where they can be found next in their travels.
