Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center Dog of the Week; Meet Nonnie!

ZANESVILLE, OH – This week’s Dog of the Week is a sweet girl who’s looking for someone to snuggle with.
Meet Nonnie! She’s a 2-year-old terrier mix who’s spayed, keeps a clean kennel, and is eagerly awaiting her forever family.
Doug McQuaid, a volunteer with the K-9 Adoption Center, says Nonnie appears to be friendly with children as well as other dogs but can come off as timid when you first meet her.
“She’s a little bit scared at first so when you first start off.” McQuaid said. “She’s kind of under your feet, so be careful of that so she wouldn’t try to trip you. We’ve been trying to teach her how to sit, shake, and high-five. She takes treats very well, very affectionate, and would be great for someone who would just like to have a companion to be with.”
McQuaid also says they’re about a month out from their Trunk-or-Treat event for pups and they’re still looking for businesses interested in participating.
He also says if you have a little one that’s coming, you’re invited to dress them up and get some treats to take home.
“Bring your treats, treats for dogs, treats for kids.” McQuaid said. “You can sign up on our Facebook page, under the K-9 Adoption Center website, if you have any questions you can get ahold of them at their phone number.”
If you are interested in adopting Nonnie or signing up for the Trunk-or-Treat event, you can reach out to the K-9 Adoption Center at (740)-453-0273.
