ZANESVILLE, OH- The United Way of Muskingum, Perry, and Morgan Counties Caped Crusaders are gearing up for their second annual Community Trivia Night, an event born from last year’s overwhelming success. The fundraiser aims to support programs that provide resources that fill community needs.

This year’s event is set for January 15 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Eagle Sticks. A larger venue was chosen after last year’s turnout exceeded expectations. The evening will feature a wide range of trivia, a table decorating contest, silent auction items, and themed baskets. Tables are filling quickly, and seating remains limited.

“We feel it went phenomenally well last year, and the feedback we got as soon as we came back to Stewart Glapat the next day, everybody was just very excited and wanted to participate last year and make sure that we’re going to do it again next year, so highly recommend any corporate leader or organization here locally that wanted to get out, have a good time, and cut loose, it’s a very fun event, and we’d love to have you join us,” said Board Chair of United Way of Muskingum, Perry, and Morgan Counties, and Chief Operating Officer of Stewart Glapat, David Stewart

Organizers say the fundraiser brings together businesses and community members for a night of friendly competition, all while supporting essential services. United Way’s 211 resource line in particular continues to help residents navigate food insecurity and housing needs by directing callers to local agencies.

“Just driving to work today here at Stewart Glapat I passed three different organizations that the United Way sponsors, they do such a good job of identifying the most important need here in this community, and they’re connecting the resources of those generous donors with those organizations, also a very important service that the United Way funds is called 211, and especially with people that are food insecure, or low income housing, it’s a great resource for them just to be able to dial a number and then they instantly are referred to the agency that can help them,” said Stewart.

To purchase a table or learn more, residents can call the United Way at 740-454-6872 or visit their website. Organizers encourage anyone interested to act quickly, as the event is expected to sell out once again.
