CHAIR-ity Auction Kicks Off at Colony Square Mall

ZANESVILLE, OH – A fundraiser that turns everyday chairs into something meaningful is back in Muskingum County!

Eastside Community Ministry kicks off its annual CHAIR-ity Raffle and Auction today, featuring themed chairs, incentive prizes, and raffle baskets all benefiting local families in need. The fundraiser includes both a silent auction inside the Colony Square Mall and an online auction running through February 28th at 5 p.m.

“I’ve never seen anything like this before. Each year, everyone comes up with the best ideas. They get so creative and we never know what’s going to come in the doors. It’s a really fun time. So, come out, look around and see what people came up with.” ECM Executive Director, Jamie Trout said.

All proceeds will go directly toward ECM’s services, continuing its mission of helping those in Muskingum County since 1958.

“We are a nonprofit. We do rely on grants and the support of the community. This is our biggest fundraiser. We have doubled our services in the last couple of years, especially in our food pantry area. All of the donations help support us, and there’s not anything that goes to waste. $1 will help us buy a meal for somebody.” Trout said.

The CHAIR-ity Auction will continue through Saturday, with the special raffle drawing set for February 28th at 3 p-m. More information can be found on Eastside Community Ministry’s website.
