“Follies Rock” Held to Support Genesis Hospice Care

ZANESVILLE, Ohio — The Follies Family hosted their annual show today at the Secrest Auditorium.
The show took place at both 2PM and 8PM, and this year’s theme was “Follies Rock”– a variety show featuring performances that incorporated popular “rock” songs, both past and present.
“We’ve got a lot of singing, a lot of dancing, we’ve got dance studios from around the area helping us out. We’ve got some comedy skits, hopefully it will appeal to everybody. We’ve got about 75 people just in the cast but we’ve got probably over 150 total performers and crew members,” said President Jon Kullman.
The Follies Family was started four years ago and is a non-profit organization consisting of all local volunteers, no paid employees. The organization supports Genesis Hospice Care and all proceeds go to support the patients that can’t afford the end of life care that they need.
“A lot of them don’t have insurance and nobody’s turned away, so they need extra funds occasionally to help pay for the services and that’s where all our money goes. The last three years we’ve been able to give Hospice $25,000 each year, hopefully we can do that again this year,” added Kullman.
