AMG Vanadium: A global leader in Southeast Ohio

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The oil refining process creates hazardous materials, but one Cambridge-based company helps convert that material into something useful.
AMG Vanadium operates at a plant in Cambridge and another in Zanesville. These two plants are the industry’s biggest players in handling hazardous materials from oil refineries.
“We are the world’s largest recycler of spent [residual] catalyst and through our proprietary V-cycle process, we completely take this hazardous waste and render it non-hazardous and make valuable products from that. We completely eliminate any risk that our refinery partners…,” said Tom Centa, president of AMG Vanadium.
The company’s impact doesn’t stop at responsibly eliminating hazardous materials. Through their V-cycle process, they also produce metal products that are used throughout the country.
“AMG Vanadium is very proud of our track record. We are the only producer of feravanadium in the United States and feravanadium and vanadium products are critical to, you know, our national defense, to security, it strengthens steel and us being that only company in the United States, we’re very proud of that,” Centa said.
AMG Vanadium’s impact and environmental track record are so well recognized that they were selected to host a major announcement from the U.S. EPA. You can find out more about that announcement by clicking this link.
