Gary Emory

Gary L. Emory, 70, of Roseville, passed away on April 5, 2026, at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. Born on November 29, 1955, in Zanesville, Ohio, to the late Warren “Sonny” and Bonita (Loterbaugh) Emory, he lived a life marked by service, dedication, faith, and devotion to the people and pursuits he loved. Gary proudly served his country for more than 23 years as a member of the United States Air Force. His long military career reflected his commitment to duty, discipline, and integrity, and those who knew him understood that his sense of responsibility extended far beyond his uniform. Following his retirement from the Air Force, Gary continued to apply his talents and work ethic in civilian life. He worked as a computer systems engineer and later served as general manager at Cadillac Jack’s Sports Bar, where he was appreciated for his leadership, professionalism, and easygoing manner. Gary was a faithful member of the Roseville American Legion Post 71, where he shared fellowship with fellow veterans and community members. He valued the bonds of camaraderie and the sense of connection that came from serving alongside others who understood the importance of sacrifice and commitment. He is survived by his children, Jason Emory and Jody (Jerry) Johnson, as well as his grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Kathy Sheline and Tammy (Mark) Hannan along with several nieces and nephews. Gary was a Christian and Lutheran by faith. His beliefs were an important part of who he was and helped guide the way he lived. In his personal life, Gary found joy in the things that made him smile and brought him relaxation. He loved Ohio State Athletics and was a devoted Buckeye fan. His enthusiasm for the team he followed was. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Warren “Sonny” and Bonita (Loterbaugh) Emory, and by his brothers, Terry Emory and Kevin Emory. well known, and he enjoyed the excitement and tradition that came with cheering them on.
