South Zanesville Gas Station Robbed

The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a robbery at a South Zanesville gas station.  Captain Jeff Lecocq says just after 2:00 Thursday afternoon a white male approached the cashier at Murphy USA gas station at 2856 Maysville Pike and demanded money.  He threatened he had a weapon however he did not show it.  Lecocq says he made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.  The suspect is described as having a thin build with a goatee with grey hair.  He was wearing a tan Carhartt coat, dark pants, white shoes and red gloves.  Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office at 740-452-3637.
