Husband Arrested for Attempted Murder

Newark Police make an arrest for attempted murder.

Authorities said they were dispatched to 327 Union Street Apartment A12 on a report of a female down around 7AM Wednesday.

Upon arrival officers found 38-year-old Sherry Lynn Levan, of Newark, had suffered a blunt force trauma to the head.

She was flown to Grant Medical Center where she’s in critical condition.

Newark Police located and arrested her husband, 47-year-old Donald Chadwick Wolfe, of Newark.

Wolfe was interviewed by Newark detectives and admitted to the assault. He was charged with attempted murder and taken to the Licking County Jail.

Detectives will present the case to the Licking County Prosecutors Office for review.
