Ohio Students Stand with Parkland

(WLWT) Ohio’s Lakota school district is sending a big message that it stands with Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida.

They are sending handwritten letters to Stoneman Douglas students as a statement of solidarity.

“We do feel for Stoneman Douglas and we are trying to show our support for them because we know that this is a hard time and there’s nothing that can really change it but people are here, they care for them, and we’re all ready to help,” Lakota senior Gabby Manley said.

“We want to make sure Stoneman Douglas knows we hear them, we see them, and we support them,” added student organizer Nina Emlemdi.
