The Zanesville Police Department says it only responded to the Police Athletic League for routine calls in the past few years. This after a report this week that the P-A-L president, Tim Hartmeyer was arrested in reference to child pornography.  Whiz News reached out to P-A-L Treasurer Kelly Severt but did not receive a return call. Hartmeyer is a former Muskingum County Sheriff’s Deputy and was arrested Wednesday in Mobile Alabama. Sheriff Matt Lutz says the investigation started Friday March 16th after his office received a complaint in reference to child pornography. Lutz says a search warrant was obtained and Hartmeyer’s home at 2800 Stanway Drive was searched. While deputies searched they also discovered detonating cord and blasting caps which were destroyed. The case remains under investigation.
