Cambridge Man Charged in Death of Juvenile

The Cambridge Police Department says an area man has been charged in connection with the death of a juvenile.

Captain Mark Baker said 31-year-old Marvin Benson, of Cambridge, is facing one count each of involuntary manslaughter, felonious assault and endangering children.

Captain Baker said officers responded on Monday to a 911 call for medical help at 614 South 10th Street. Baker said a caller reported that her son was not breathing and when investigators arrived they found a deceased male.

Baker said Benson was taken into custody at the residence. Benson’s bond is set at 1 million dollars.

A preliminary hearing is set for April 26th at 3:00 p.m.
