Longtime Zanesville Podiatrist Dies

A longtime Zanesville Podiatrist has died. Dr. Joe McElhaney passed away Wednesday evening at Morrison House Genesis Hospice. McElhaney practiced in Zanesville on Maple Avenue for close to 40 years. He was also a Korean Conflict Navy Veteran with the Patrol Squadron VP-6. He served on the West Muskingum School Board where he also took care of athletes in all their sports for over 20 years. Friends may call on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Bryan and Hardwick Funeral Home. The funeral mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. the same day at St. James Episcopal Church. Dr McElhaney will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery. He was 86-years-old.
