Former Police Officer Pleads Guilty
A former area police officer charged with crimes involving a teenager changes his plea. The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office says 41-year-old Trevor Fusner Monday pled guilty to two counts of Illegal Use of a Minor in Nudity Oriented Material or Performance (felony of the 2nd degree) and four counts of Illegal Use of a Minor in Nudity Oriented Material or performance. (felony of the 5th degree) Fusner had been an officer with the Zanesville and New Concord police departments. Fusner was also one of three officers arrested in 2007 by federal agents for attempting to extort a Columbus drug dealer out of a kilo of cocaine. Common Pleas Judge Kelly Cottrill ordered a pre-sentence investigation and continued Fusner’s bond at 100-thousand dollars.
