Troopers seize $3.7 million worth of drugs in Guernsey County

CAMBRIDGE, Ohio– A Guernsey County traffic stop leads to the seizure of $3.7 million worth of drugs.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m., troopers stopped a rented Penske truck with Virginia plates for a following too close violation on I-70 near milepost 173.
A drug sniffing dog tipped off a probable cause search, where troopers discovered 110 pounds of heroin and methamphetamine, valued at approximately $3.7 million.

The driver was 27-year-old Ashley N. Tramonte of Marion, North Carolina. She is being charged with possession of a controlled substance and trafficking in drugs, both felonies of the first degree.
If convicted, she could face up to 20 years in prison, in addition to a $40,000 fine.
