More People at Benefit Banquet Than Expected
Chuckie Murrey’s friends and family are doing what they can to help his wife and two young daughters financially.
A benefit banquet was held at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds, and those attending raised their glasses in memory of the 35-year-old.
About 250 people attended, which is more than the event coordinators expected.
"It’s just letting us know how Chuckie has touched so many lives in our community, and we just really appreciate it. Melissa and the two girls do too as well as all his close friends and family, " says one of the event coordinators, Michelle Cardiel.
Cardiel says they are also trying to raise money by holding a women’s raffle, silent and live auction, and games at the banquet.
Another event was held for Murrey’s family back on September 29th in Crooksville….the Chuckie Murrey 3-D Benefit Shoot.
Murrey died back in August after being stung multiple times in the face and head by bees.
