Bid Openings for Maysville Sewer Project

Bid openings took place Thursday afternoon for the Maysville Sewer Project.

Precise Boring of Ohio, Zemba’s, and Shull Enterprises all submitted bids to the Muskingum County Commissioners.

"Actually, this is for the Maysville Sewer Proejct, there’s three phases for the prokect, and this is phase one, we are going to run the sewer down to 93, it’d be the first phase, and this was the bid opening was for today," said John D. Bates, Muskingum County Commissioner.

The second phase will run the sewer line further down State Route 93 and the third phase will replace the sewer pipe in Maysville. Bates believes this project will be very beneficial.

"Well the impact ought to be great, I mean there’s a lot of vacant ground down there, so there will be a lot for economic development happening down in that area," he said.

The bids will be reviewed by the engineer and a selection will be made by next Monday.
