Kids Day at Shriver Pharmacy

Giving back to the community was on the agenda for one local pharmacy.

Shriver pharmacy hosted kids day in their parking lot on Saturday. Several organizations came out to raise awareness about issues like fire safety and asthma.

"This is actually our third year doing it and we just feel like the community gives to us and so we want to give back to the community and the kids, kids are very important to us and i think its you know its what our generation is," said Krista Lane, Officer Manager.

Lane says the event was easy to put together with help from the community.

"We just actually organized it ourselves and we just kind of call around ask anybody or if anybody wants to call us and say hey we know you’re having a kids day would you care if we came over, its pretty much just voluntary and anybody can come participate," she said.

With the success of kids day, Shriver Pharmacy plans to host the event again next year.
