Nap Nanny Recalled
Baby Matters LLC has issued a voluntary recall of 30,000 Nap Nanny portable baby recliners.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is currently investigating the death of a 4-month-old Michigan girl who died in a Nap Nanny that was used in a crib. The CPSC says the girl was found in between the Nap Nanny and the crib bumper. There have been 22 reports of children hanging or falling out of the Nap Nanny despite being harnessed in.
The recalled Nap Nanny’s were sold between January 2009 and July 2010. Consumers who have first generation Nap Nanny’s without "D"-rings should stop using the product and contact the company for an $80 voucher toward the purchase of a new Nap Nanny. Consumers with a second generation Nap Nanny should stop using the product and go to the company’s Web site for new product instructions and warnings.
