Honoring Our Veterans

One local organization is giving thanks to our country’s veteran.

The Knights of Columbus here in Zanesville is providing a ride on the Lorena for veterans from Chillicothe Veterans Hospital.

"We talked it over one night at a meeting, this guy had this idea and this guy had this idea, and we decided that the Lorena would be the thing to do and it’s worked out perfect," said Bill Moyer of the K of C. 

The local chapter says they want to give back to veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan war as well.

"We may pick up another idea and go with it because the Knights of Columbus are proud to help these guys that helped us all over the world," said Moyer.

The Knights of Columbus have been hosting the event for nearly 15 years.
