Zanesville Complaints Dismissed
The Ohio Elections Commission is dismissing two Zanesville complaints, concerning American Pride Power Equipment and Zanesville City Council candidates.
Executive Director, Phillip Richter, says the decision came from the complaints not being considered proper affidavits. He says they failed to contain certain required language. The initial complaint filed against owner Ryan Dodson and American Pride Power Equipment states the owner failed to file a 30-B-1, which corporations are required to do so if they make contributions for a ballot issue campaign. The other complaint was filed against several Zanesville City Council candidates, indicating they didn’t include contributions made on their behalf.
