McVey Found Guilty
A former Coshocton County man, who was found armed in a North Carolina airport parking lot in April, receives his sentence.
Joseph "Sean" McVey appeared in Buncombe County District Court yesterday and was found guilty on a charge of possession of a firearm on city property. The Clerk of Courts says a horn and warning device violation, was consolidated with that first charge. The judge sentenced McVey to three days in jail, which were already served when he was charged in the matter. A third charge of going armed to the terror of the public was dismissed.
McVey was arrested when he was found armed near the airport when President Barack Obama was departing on Air Force One.
