Newark Stabbing Suspect Apprehended

The Newark Police Department is investigating an early Saturday morning stabbing.

It happened on South Fourth Street at the Inverness Bar around 2 a.m.

Sergeant Darrin Logan says it’s unclear at this time what led up to the event, but the victim was taken to Licking Memorial Hospital with non life-threatening injuries and later transported to Grant Medical Center.

The suspect was apprehended at the scene. He’s being held at the Licking County Justice Center.
