Semi Accident Forcing Closing Of Bridge

The Muskingum County Engineers Office says a truck accident has forced the closing of an area bridge. It happened Monday night on Piper Road. Officials say a semi tractor trailer crashed into the bridge and damaged it so heavily that it now must be replaced. Muskingum County Engineer Doug Davis is at the scene of the accident to access the damage to the bridge. Crews have also been called to pull the semi from the streambed.
