Man Sentenced for Robbery with Gun

A man is sentenced to six years in prison for a Putnam Avenue robbery.

18-year-old Taylor Allen of Zanesville received the sentence Tuesday in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court from Judge Mark Fleegle.

Last month Allen pled guilty to one charge of aggravated robbery with a gun specification and one count of felonious assault in connection with an April 30, 2010 robbery.

Authorities say Taylor attempted to rob a man behind 1036 Putnam Avenue and in the process the victim was grazed by a gun shot in the leg.
