Man Sentenced After Drug Bust

A Zanesville man will spend a year in prison after a drug bust by the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office.

Wednesday in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court 27-year-old James Allen Wade pled not-guilty to a fourth-degree-felony charge of trafficking in crack cocaine. Judge Kelly Cottrill immediately sentenced him to one year in prison.

Wade was arrested in June after the Sheriff’s Office conducted a drug bust at 206 Mead Street in Zanesville. Authorities say they recovered seven grams of crack cocaine, a small amount of marijuana, prescription pills and drug paraphernalia.
